How it works
It contains two medicines: latanoprost and timolol. Latanoprost belongs to a group of medicines known as prostaglandin analogues. Timolol belongs to a group of medicines known as beta-blockers. Latanoprost works by increasing the natural outflow of fluid from the eye into the bloodstream. Timolol works by slowing the formation of fluid in the eye .

Side Effects
Darkening of mixed coloured irides ; inform patient . Darker , longer or thicker lashes . Blurred vision , conjunctival hyperaemia , foreign body sensation , transient punctate epithelial erosion , periorbital oedema . Rarely macular oedema , iritis , uveitis , darkening of palpebral skin , exacerbation of asthma , dyspnoea , cardiac failure . Systemic B Blockers effects.
Drug Interactions
Hypertensives , calcium antagonists , antidiabetic agents , clonidine , adrenaline , CYP2D6 inhibitors , antiarrhythmics , cardiac glycosides , parasympathomimetic . Additive effects with other glaucoma treatments . Leave interval of atleast 5 min with other topical eye preps.
Indication
It is used to reduce the pressure in your eye if you have conditions known as open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Both these conditions are linked to an increase in the pressure within your eye, eventually affecting your eyesight. Your doctor will usually prescribe you this medicine when other medicines have not worked adequately.
When not to Use
Don't use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to either of the medicines (latanoprost or timolol), beta-blockers, or any of the other ingredients of medicine.
Precautions
Precaution
In patients with cardiovascular diseases (e.g. coronary heart disease, Prinzmetal's angina and cardiac failure) and hypotension therapy with beta-blockers should be critically assessed and the therapy with other active substances should be considered. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should be watched for signs of deterioration of these diseases and of adverse reactions.
Warnings
Warning 1
Patients with severe peripheral circulatory disturbance/disorders (i.e. severe forms of Raynaud's disease or Raynaud's syndrome) should be treated with caution.
Warning 2
Respiratory reactions, including death due to bronchospasm in patients with asthma have been reported following administration of some ophthalmic beta-blockers. It should be used with caution, in patients with mild/moderate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk.
Warning 3
Beta-blockers should be administered with caution in patients subject to spontaneous hypoglycaemia or to patients with labile diabetes, as beta-blockers may mask the signs and symptoms of acute hypoglycaemia.
