  Procyclidine is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease or involuntary movements due to the side effects of certain psychiatric drugs.

• Dosage

  The usual dose of procyclidine for initial treatment is 2.5 mg administered three times daily after meals. If well tolerated, this dose may be gradually increased to 5 mg three times a day and occasionally 5 mg given before sleep.

• In case of Overdose

  Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.

• Missed Dose

  If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

• How To Use

  Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually 3 to 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime. Your doctor may start you at a low dose and increase your dose slowly to find the best dose for you. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.

• When Not to Use

  Procyclidine should not be administered to patients with angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, or gastrointestinal obstruction.
